Cover Girl: Jennifer Lawrence Shows Off Her Softer Side for Glamour UK!

JENNIFER LAWRENCE is the name on everyone’s lips these days!

The 21-year-old star was sitting pretty at the Academy Awards around this time last year as she was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for “Winter’s Bone”, but right after the Oscars she hit training camp for another starring part in “The Hunger Games”.

Jenn scored the part of Katniss Everdeen in the film adaption of the best-selling book series by Suzanne Collins which will span a rumored three other films, you know, after this one takes over the box offie.

In honor of “The Hunger Games” hitting theaters this month, Jennifer graces the double cover of Glamour UK Magazine wearing two very different — but very pink designer looks!

On one cover, Charlotte-Anne Fidler styled Ms. Lawrence in a striking embellished bodysuit, from the Spring 2012 collection by Prada, in shades of pink, seafoam, and olive green. I love the way the satin waves break up the bursting beaded designs. The one piece hugged Jenn’s curvy figure; her waist was defined with a pink and black crystal triple layer belt.

A simple silver bracelet, light make-up, and sexy tousled wavy tresses completed the look.

For the second cover option, Jennifer showed off her softer side with barely-there make-up, finger combed hair and a light pink jersey and tulle ruffled top by Valentino. I wish there was a little more to this picture to show off more of the layered ruffle design.

Out of ruffles and into crochet! Jennifer slipped a creamy white tunic from MICHAEL Michael Kors for this shot. I love this in black-in-white. Thankfully, this top is currently being sold on Michael’s website — you can buy online here!

It’s perfect for those breezy summer nights.

Enough of the comfort clothes, photographer Simon Emmett also got the glamorous side of the actress!

Jennifer posed against this wooden paneled backdrop in a stunning light pink satin halterneck gown from Ralph Lauren Collection. I adore the subtle criss-crossing effect at the waist beneath the eye-popping cutaway detail at the bust.

I’m not sure how well this would work on the red carpet, but Jennifer was darn near flawless here.

Running across the beach, Jennifer kept her icy John Galliano silk chiffon gown from hitting the wet sand. You can see bits of the pretty sequin embroidery on the layered ruffles. How they let this beautiful dress get photographed from the back in such a faraway shot, I’ll never understand.

The final photo of the editorial shows Jenn sitting at the beach, as the sun sets, in a beaded gown from the Spring 2012 collection by Marchesa. The frothy tulle overlay surrounds her as the crystals peek out from underneath. I really like the illusion neckline and those cascading waves.

This was such a lovely setting for a mesmerizing look on her.
